Scope of Practice
Dr. Boyle's expertise is in the fields of knee surgery, shoulder surgery, hip preservation surgery, and orthopaedic sports medicine, with a special focus on arthroscopic surgery, sports injury management and rehabilitation. Dr. Boyle does not perform joint replacement surgery, choosing instead to focus on the areas of his sub-specialisation, in order to maximise his expertise.

Shoulder:
- Instability
- Labral tears
- Rotator cuff tears
- Impingement
- Acromioclavicular joint injury
- Adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder)
- Suprascapular neuropathy
Knee:
- Ligament injuries, including ACL tears, PCL tears & multi-ligament disruptions
- Meniscal tears
- Cartilage injuries
- Patellofemoral instability
- Osteochondritis dissecans
- Early or isolated osteoarthritis
Hip:
- Hip dysplasia in adolescents and young adults (periacetabular osteotomy)
- Femoroacetabular impingement
- Labral tears
- Hip pain in the young adult
- Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (Perthes Disease)
- Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis (SUFE)
- Osteonecrosis
